PartyMap Academy Opens Dj & Music Production Academy in Navi Mumbai
Technology has transformed music. No longer restricted to singing or playing an instrument, music is now also about mixing, creating newer sounds that appeal to the masses and live performances to captivate an audience.
Scratch the Past - Mix the Present - Produce the future.
That is the mantra entrepreneur Nik Talreja and DJ Akhil Talreja have mastered. And it is this mantra they teach through 13 certified courses like Music Production Course, Disc Jockey Course, FL Studio Course, Sound Engineering Course, Visual Jockey Course Etc. Specifically designed for talented aspirants waiting to hone their skills at their DJ and electronic music production academy PartyMap.
Harbingers of change, the duo are on a cloud 'literally'. The academy will open its centre in Airoli, Navi Mumbai on February 17, 2021. They have centres running full-house in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Andheri, Chandivali, Pune, Surat, Thane and Valsad presently.
"Most musicians and academies state there is no place in the music world for a person who cannot play an instrument or sing. Our academy has shown enthusiasts an alternative path to success," said Nik, who aims at opening 60 more such centres, including in the UAE, USA and Bangladesh. In a bid to increase their centres and make entrepreneurs out of DJs, they have adopted the franchisee model of business.
The company strives to maintain the strictest standards of professionalism, even at the franchisees. With a staff strength of 30 including counsellors, managers and faculty, the academy strives to follow a strict code of ethics within the vibrant and lively centres. "We are the next big thing in the music space," he asserted.
Akhil asserts the company has made creating music accessible, simpler and easier.
Challenging the popular perception, Nik said, "A DJ remixes an original piece of music for greater good of the dance genre and further popularizes the track and artist." He cited the examples of below 30 years old DJs who have made it to the Forbes list of richest men.
What started as an online talent booking company in 2009 and changed the way DJs are hired by clubs has metamorphosed into a flourishing DJ academy in 2011. DJ Akhil came on board and better times followed.
Party Map Academy has made hiring DJs more professional and serious. With artist managers working in the background, the company has ensured that nightclubs and event managers around the world get the right talent. The company has helped place many DJs and bands in high-quality gigs in and around India. In 2010, they launched 'Party Map Remixes' for movies.
